'SNL': Rachel Dratch's 'Debbie Downer' ruins a wedding reception with coronavirus talk

“Saturday Night Live” alum Rachel Dratch reprised her infamous “Debbie Downer” act in a coronavirus-focused skit.

The iconic “SNL” character returned to the screen arriving to a wedding reception in a heavy-duty gas mask.

“Don’t worry, none of us are sick,” a woman played by Aidy Bryant promised her.

“Well, unfortunately, with COVID-19, you can display no symptoms and still be wildly contagious,” she said, before introducing herself as Debbie. Cue: Her character’s signature zoom and the old “Debbie Downer” jingle.

At first unwilling to part ways with her mask, Debbie attempted to eat her meal through it.

“They say to forego masks, but good luck nabbing one when we’re facing a worldwide pandemic,” she said, cringing at the camera.

Debbie’s tendency to kill the vibe didn’t stop with coronavirus. After sharing her wedding gift with the bride and groom — a $25 gift certificate to a charity that fights feline AIDS — Debbie turns back to her reception table with a question: “How do you guys feel about Trump?”

She concluded with what should have been an exciting moment: Catching the bride’s bouquet. But in true “Debbie Downer” fashion, she has a sadder take.

“You know who else loves flowers?” she asked. “Honeybees. Too bad they’re on their way out.”
