Belgian Charleroi airport closes from March 24 until April 5

BRUSSELS (Reuters) – Belgium’s Charleroi airport said on Friday it would close for business from 23:59 CET on March 24 to April 5, with a possibility to extend that period, because airlines have suspended flights due to the coronavirus epidemic.

The airport, situated close to Brussels, saw more than eight million passengers last year. It services budget airlines Ryanair , Wizz Air , Pegasus Airlines, TUI fly, Air Corsica, Belavia, Air Belgium, Air Algérie and Laudamotion.
